Wordful Wednesday {Life}

May 12, 2010

After a week defined by loss, heartache, and mourning, words can’t even begin to express how uplifted I felt after yesterday’s discovery of several tiny new lives. This robin’s nest is tucked safely on the top rail of my parent’s fence, and we took turns climbing up a stool to cautiously peer down at the tiny birds.

Shane could not be convinced that what he was looking at were birds, and just shook his head, murmuring “No bird…no bird” as he gazed with utter curiosity and confusion at the nest.

I’m linking up with this week’s Wordful Wednesday, hosted by Seven Clown Circus.

    To a child, those can’t possibly look like birds that fly in the air, can they?
    What a wonderful learning experience! Miracles of nature.

    Given your last week, this is truly a gift! I know I’d be so thankful to witness such a beautiful thing. How wonderful that your little guy did, too — even if he didn’t recognize the birds! 🙂
