Letter of Intent

March 5, 2010

Dear Shane,

PhotobucketFinally sleeping through the night is an amazing accomplishment. We knew you could do it! From your sleep-deprived mommy’s perspective, the most amazing sound in the world was heard through the baby monitor last night — of you briefly waking, groggly mumbling “Mama?” and rustling around in your crib, and then…nothing. Sweet, blissful silence. I actually got out of bed and padded softly down the hall to peak in on you and confirm that you actually fell back to sleep on your own! The angels sang, and your mommy did a semi-crazed happy dance in her PJs, then lept back into her own bed. It was a glorious, restful night.

However, we need to talk about your new-found desire to start your day, bright-eyed and ready to party, at four am. This isn’t going to become a habit, right? Right…?!?!

Your Mommy (who will be more than ready for a nap by ten)

LOL. Allmy children sleep through the night, lucky for me- BUT while my older two children are light based sleep kids (In the winter it’s great- they’ll sleep til 8- but in the summer they’re up at 5) my youngest…well, I ahven’t figured her out. She’s always up by 6 when my other two want to sleep until like 7, and if DH is too loud when heleaves at 5, then that’s our morning.

Yea for sleeping through the night and self-soothing! Whew, that will do a mom good. So glad the little guy has figured it out. *clapping*

Thanks for linking up- I LOVE your header by the way!

Not sure how old your son is but with our daughter that has been so tough. She is almost 2. We where trying a bit of everything, and then told we where bad parents cause we took her out when she was tired. Moms never get 8 hours of sleep. But we are Mom’s. 🙂

Aww, what a sweetie. I still love those sheets, where did you find them again?

Whoops, that was meant for the above entry, hehe. The photo at the top of this looks like it’s out of a sitcom :).

4am? Wow. That is *really* early. And I thought I had it tough with 6:45/7:00. 😉

Fortunately, these stages are very, very short. Before we know it, we’ll be the ones waking THEM up…
