You Capture — Winter

January 14, 2010

Photobucket

We’ve already had an overabundance of snow this winter.
I captured these flakes resting on my car one bitter morning.

We bundle up in snuggly winter coats and hats,
to ward off the chill until the car can be warmed up.

Outdoor play has been a rare event lately,
and far too short-lived when we do venture out.

We’ve been enjoying indoor playdates as much as we can,
and met my sister & niece at a playplace in a local mall earlier this week.

They may not be outdoors in the fresh air, but bouncy houses
can be a relatively decent substitute when you need to get your wiggles out.

Check out I Should be Folding Laundry to see more fantastic captures that represent winter.

Incredible I loved how you captured the patents on the window. I especially like the one where you can see a shadow of a person behind it

    …Snow apples!

Thank you! That little one behind the window is my son…who was impatiently waiting for me to stop taking photos of the snow!

Okay so the snowflake pictures are rocking it! LoVe them. Found you through Thelma’s traveling shoes. What kind of camera are you using…. or better yet how are you getting those shots? We need snow here in Utah first so there are some flakes to shoot. That could go a whole different direction but I’ll let it be. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much! I have an Olympus…it’s kind of a souped-up point & shoot. I’m drooling over some of the SLRs I’ve seen, but they’re just not in the budget right now. This camera has a macro setting that takes amazing pictures, so I make excuses to get up close & personal way more often than I should!

No snow yet in Utah?!?!? And we’ve been getting dumped on here in eastern Mass!

How great is it that your mall has a play place? I love that! I know what you mean about winter being a time when you just spend SO much time indoors because of the cold! Brrrrrrrrrrrr! : ) I can’t wait for Spring.
