I ♥ Faces — “Pets Only”

This is my first entry in the weekly I ♥ Faces photo challenge.  This week’s theme is “Pets Only.”  Not having a pet of our own, I had to dig through the recent photos on my computer in order to find a picture of an animal we had encountered on one of our hikes this year.

While exploring the Ward Reservation several months ago, we crossed a boardwalk that stretched over part of Cat Swamp.  Peering out at us from a thick blanket of green algae were countless frogs.  They blended in so well with the algae that it was incredibly difficult to see them at first, but the longer we looked, the more we were able to see looking back at us.
