Puddle-Wonderful
Last week was spent predominantly outdoors. Our days were filled with walks and hikes, playground adventures and exploring our backyard. We visited a local farm, and stayed home to use the bubble solution and the wading pool. But the highlight of our week was a spontaneous moment during a rain shower. We pulled out our rain coats and wrestled on our rain boots, and darted outside for some shared belly laughs and puddle-jumping before dinner.

The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful.

Lisa @ 5 Orange Potatoes is hosting Outdoor Challenge Mondays, a challenge in which participants get their children outdoors, experiencing nature, every day (rain or shine!), and then post about the highlights of the previous week each Monday. Check out this week’s post on her blog to see the outdoor adventures of those participating in this challenge!

I love letting Jonathan splash in the puddles! He has so much fun and I have so much fun watching him! I love the photos!
Oh my goodness – that last shot is priceless!!! It belongs on a wall to remind us to take advantage of those fun moments (and just take a bath afterward!
I think I need to let my kids splash in puddles more often. I love his boots. It looks like he was having a great time.
Hooray for the outdoors! I’ve been missing our weekend hikes here. It’s too hot now (100+ degrees) so we’ll likely have to wait for fall now. Either that, or we’ll have to escape to Northern Arizona where the weather is cooler…
